As snow and ice approach us, here are a few tips to stay ahead of the weather.
Apply Rain-X to all windows when they're clean and dry.  This makes it much easier to clean off.
Never pour hot water on icy windows.  The fast temperature change could cause them to crack.
Remove the haze from the headlights.  I've found Soft Scrub does an excellent job.  This increases your
ability to see and be seen.
Have the brakes checked.  Make sure you have lots of life left on the brakes.  It's hard enough to stop on
snow covered and icy roads.
Be safe out there,  Keep your headlights on, use the turn signals and don't follow too closely.
And, as a side note, make sure you have an emergency kit in your vehicle.  Include water, storable food and
a blanket.
have a safe winter!
